Get a Google (Gemini) API Key

Individuals often start in Google AI Studio; teams may use Google Cloud. Labels change—follow the live UI.

Steps

Open Google AI Studio (or Cloud console).
Sign in → Get API key / API Keys.
Create or select a project, generate a key, copy it.
Enable Gemini APIs for that project if prompted.
WriteX → Settings → Model / Provider → Google → paste key → test.

AI Studio and Vertex endpoints can differ; use WriteX presets or Google’s current docs for the Base URL.
